What is an MCP server?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that allows AI assistants to use external tools with your permission. GapCite's MCP server lets an assistant read your GapCite data and perform actions in your account.
Which AI assistants can use it?
Claude and ChatGPT can use it through custom connectors. Other MCP clients can connect too if they support remote servers with OAuth sign-in.
Which plans offer it?
It's included in every paid plan, starting with Starter at $29/mo, at no extra cost. AI Marketer tools, including writing and publishing pages, require Growth or above.
Does it spend my AI Marketer credits?
Only writing or revising a draft uses credits: 1 credit, just as in the dashboard. Reading your data uses no credits.
Can I use it to run a free scan?
No. It uses your paid GapCite account. Free scans run on the website.
Does GapCite offer a REST API?
Not yet. Today, the MCP server is the way to use GapCite from other software.
